University Information Technology Services, within The University of Arizona, Student Administration (SA) PeopleSoft Technical Team is accepting applications for the position of Applications Systems Analyst/Developer, Senior.
It is an exciting time to join Student Administration (SA) PeopleSoft Technical Team, we are in the process of upgrading to AWS and will be following shortly thereafter with a 9.2 upgrade and exciting Graphical User Interface (GUI) enhancements. The developer will be part of the team that integrates with, develops, tests and supports UA’s Student Administration Application enterprise services. Applications include PeopleSoft Campus Solutions (CS) 9.0. The developer will partner with business analysts, functional offices, and other members of the technical team to define processes and develop technical solutions utilizing existing functionality wherever possible. ****Remote work arrangements will be considered for this role.****

Duties & Responsibilities
•Designs, Develops, Tests and Implements modification requests using development lifecycle procedures that include security best practices and standards.
•Partners with business analysts to define processes and develop technical solutions utilizing existing functionality where possible.
•Creates and maintains web services and other systems integrations.
•Writes and maintains documentation.
•In rotation with other developers, providing on and off hours production support.
•Provides input and recommendations to project leadership and team members regarding applications systems analysis, design, development, and implementation.
•Participates in reviews of user programming requests and consulting with users to clarify work requests and implementation plans.
•In rotation with other senior developers, prepares for and leads regular team discussions on relevant topics, e.g. code reviews, tutorials, conference reports, etc.
•Collaborates in the development of standards for a minimum common level of expertise in skills essential to the team; and participating in professional development (structured or self-led) sufficient to maintain those levels.
•Cross-trains with other senior developers to broaden software development expertise.
•Attends conferences relevant to professional expertise; and with assistance from principal staff, authoring and presenting papers at those conferences. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
•Knowledge and experience with PeopleTools, PeopleCode, Application Engine, Component Interfaces, Equations, SQR, Integration Broker.Minimum Qualifications
Five years of experience in programming applications systems using relevant technologies and programming languages; OR, an Associate’s degree in Computer Science or related field AND four years of experience in programming applications systems using relevant technologies and programming languages; OR, Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field AND two years of experience in programming applications systems using relevant technologies and programming languages; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education. Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Oracle databases.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills required
• Four years of experience in PeopleSoft development.
